Herr Direktor, HD, hails from Germanic ancestry and enjoys long locks- hence, his appropriate pseodu-homonym of a pseudonym. Musically, HD discovered a natural ability and affinity at an early age, playing piano and clarinet. Vocals came later as his theatre degree demanded, as did playing keys for a variety of bands: Krude, TimeWarp, Trixx, and The Dave Hodges Elvis Impersonation Band, to name a few, are certainly listed atop Rolling Stone's favorites of all time. Drumming, always a yearning of HD's soul and psyche, didn't officially make its debut until a stint working aboard cruise ships offered the opportunity to keep time with a crew band twice a week in Ensenada, Mexico. Well endowed (musically, of course), Herr Direktor looks to all genres of music for inspiration and recreation. He's a vegetarian, can drive a zamboni, has visited 62 countries, and has a separated left shoulder. HD is also a member of his own safety prevention committee. |
