Ace started playing guitar when he was just a wee lad of 12 years old in Orange County, California, USA. He purchased his first guitar at Montgomery Ward in Los Angeles. Its hidious drab color soon earned itself the name "The Grey Wonder".
His first guitar teacher was Carl Verheyen (www.carlverheyen.com) back in the late 70's. Carl went on to be a major force in the music scene and is regularly featured in magazines and has played with some of the greats such as Supertramp. Ace's other big influence has been his older brother, Kevin, and lead rock and blues powerhouses such as Radio Dog, The 501's and The Tailgators.
While Ace favors his Martin and Takamine acoustic guitars, he is mainly caught playing his Taylor and Fender electrics on stage. Ace blends his own style with the likes of Stevie Ray Vaughn, Richie Sambora, Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton.
